Here is a project of my friend – a great BMW fan. He installed a PC in his old BMW e31 850.

Auto: BMW 850 5L, 300 h.p.
PC: P-IV 2,4Hz, 512мб, 60Гб, a platform on the basis of BARBONE MSI HETIS 865GV
SB Audigy, TV/FM AverStudio 507, GPS, Bluetooth MSI, DVD RW ext. SONY
Keyboard Genius, Card Reader
Monitor Xenarc 7 ”

One of overall objectives, was to install PC not changing the concept of interior of BMW, having added there only the most necessary. Basically it was possible to me, as the console has not been touched.

Exterior:

Originally the console looked so…

After manipulations with plastic, and the decision of the main task to leave all buttons and controls and installations there the monitor and keyboard, the new console looks like that:

The keybord was installed with electro serv. When you press a button, it goes out from under the monitor. Click again, and its hide back.

For the economy of a place, the monitor was removed from the mother body and placed in a new, specially maded. And card reader, with an additional USB port near

TV

Radio
