Jarno Trulli was unhappy with his performance in 2007 at Toyota. The Italian finished thirteenth in the drivers' standings with only eight points, while his team-mate Ralf Schumacher scored just five points. In 2008 Trulli hopes to take the team a step forward and close the gap with the top teams.
The 2007 season was the last season for Franck Montagny in Formula 1. The Frenchman was Toyota's F1 test and reserve driver in 2007 and completed a number of races for Super Aguri in 2006. He now aims for a seat in the Champ Car World Series.
The Toyota Formula 1 team announced on Monday that it ended its sponsorship deal with Kingfisher Airlines. Kingfisher, owned by Vijay Mallya, had a sponsorship contract until the end of the 2008 Formula 1 season at Toyota.

Honda hopes to regain 2006 form

With its new car, Honda is aiming to regain its 2006 form, the season when the team won its sole race since returning to F1 with a works operation. 

It may look like that, but it was certainly not a walkover for the Hyundai i10 at the Business Standard Motoring Car Of The Year 2008 evaluations. via Rediff.com

Kubica optimistic for 2008

Robert Kubica says he is optimistic about the upcoming season after BMW went fastest on two of the four final days of testing this year at Jerez. The Polish driver again teams up with Nick Heidfeld and their new BMW will be launched on 14 January.

Schumacher happy just to test

Michael Schumacher is not likely to try to make a competitive race drive comeback in F1 according to close friend Ross Brawn. Schumacher's former technical director and master strategist is now team principal at Honda but believes that the seven-time champion is happy simply to continue testing.
