Bernie Ecclestone has called for Max Mosley to step down as FIA president and avoid the controversy of next Tuesday's confidence vote at the FIA Senate.
Still revelling in his Monaco Grand Prix victory, Lewis Hamilton heads to Canada determined to build on his return to winning ways, and fight for the race victory. 
Renault is committed to Formula One for several more years at the very least, chief executive Carlos Ghosn has said. His comments come as Renault suffers a second season of not being able to fight for race victories.

The BMW 1 Series-based X1 small SUV will be built in BMW's Leipzig, Germany plant, Automotive News Europe reports.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was offered a unique opportunity this week. The Italian got the chance to test Ferrari's brand-new road car, the new Ferrari California, 2+ convertible. Luca di Montezemolo put it through its paces over several laps at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit.
The local council has granted Silverstone planning permission for its brand-new pit and paddock complex. With the permission from local autorities Silverstone can started upgrading its facilities and meet Ecclestone's demands to keep Formula One coming to Silverstone.

Q&A with Robert Kubica

Six races into the season and BMW driver Robert Kubica lies fourth in the drivers' world championship with 32 points to his tally. In a week he will return to where he escaped a horrendous accident a year ago and ahead of that, took part in a Q&A session. 
Williams driver Nico Rosberg has said he is doing just fine after his heavy crash in Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix. The German crashed in the 60th lap into the barriers and was brought to the hospital in Monte Carlo for medical checks. It soon became clear Rosberg was fine.
A total of 19 leading automobile clubs have joined forces in a final attempt to force disgraced FIA president Max Mosley out of his office. The clubs were surprised when Mosley has said he refused to resign or even accept a compromise agreement.
