Vettel joins Webber at Red Bull Racing

Mark Webber will be joined by Sebastian Vettel in 2009 at Red Bull Racing. The 21-year-old German will replace David Coulthard. The news hardly comes as a surprise as strong rumours already suggested Vettel as Coulthard's replacement after the Scotsman announced his retirement at the end of the season.

Last week saw another unusual statistic, as it was the first time an official F1 test session had taken place at Hockenheim since the Nineties and only one member of the Ferrari test team had been present back then.

The Red Bull Formula 1 factory in Milton Keynes, England, was evacuated after a brand-new racing component went up in smoke. The smoke alarm went of around lunch time on Wednesday following a chemical reaction in an enclosed room.
