Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen prays for hot weather conditions at this weekend's German Grand Prix. The reining Formula 1 champion failed to impress in the extreme weather conditions two weeks ago at Silverstone but expects to fight for a race win in Germany if the temperatures will go up.

The revisions to the Hockenheimring in recent years have transformed what was once a flat out burst through the forests into a medium downforce circuit, with the teams having to balance the demands of a long back straight and a low-speed stadium section at the end of the lap. The teams therefore have to adopt a compromise with the set-up. The benefit of such a diverse track usually gives an exciting race with plenty of overtaking opportunities.
Toyota aims to consolidate fourth

Toyota enjoyed a successful test at Hockenheim last week, establishing baseline set-ups for the German Grand Prix as well as trying out various aerodynamic upgrades. After moving into fourth in the Constructors' Championship thanks to Jarno Trulli's seventh place at Silverstone, Toyota aims to strengthen its hold on that position at Hockenheim.

Sutil looking for some luck at home race

Adrian Sutil has yet to score his first point of the season. The German didn't have the best of luck this season. At Monaco he was close to scoring his first points of the season until the Force India driver was pushed out of the race by Kimi Raikkonen. In Germany he hopes his home grand prix will bring him a bit of extra luck.
Force India to focus on next season

According to Force India F1 co-owner Vijay Mallya the team is putting most of its effort into next year's car already. The team showed a reasonable start of the season but then fell a bit behind. Mallya has now admitted he is now putting his money more into next season.
